News about OCD.

Well where can I start with Boo? His Mum is from Detania lines and Dad is Mobella. Also in his pedigree are Rekasso & Wizaland. He also has the Clan Abbeys as 5th generation relatives. He is a KC registered BC his KC name is 'Forest Trail'. Boo is very handsome and is a tri- colour, he carries red which means he can produce red/ chocolate puppies.

Boo has now sired quite a few litters. His puppies are excelling in all sports including Agility, Obedience, Working Trials and Flyball. Puppies have inherited his drive, will to please and his affectionate and loving nature. I am very proud of each and every one.

At six years old he continues to be a fabulaous dog. His Agility continues to improve although with the arrival of my own baby Ethan my Agility has had to take a backseat for the last two seasons. Boo really doesnt complain if I miss his training for a few weeks- he just comes back a bit crazy!

He was eye tested as a pup and at six years old and is clear of any problems. He has also now been DNA CEA and TNS tested 'Normal'/ Clear. His hips are a very good 4:3 (total 7). A puppy from Boo's first litter was diagnosed with OCD (Osteochondritis Dissecans). Please click here to read more and what effect that may have on using Boo at stud.

We started competing in agility end of May 2004 and Boo is a total star. He has won into Grade 7 which is current highest UK level. Boo has had a total of twelve Novice wins since his first at Hinckley show in June 2005. He qualified for Olympia 2005 Novice Final and also qualified for the Adams Derby and Genesis Novice Finals. He also won the 2005 DINAS Novice Final! He loves agility and is keen and honest and as long as I get it right will go clear for me. Boo came 2nd at Olympia 2005- what a star he is! You can view my write up here!

My handsome lad is a real pleasure to live with, and a gentleman. At home he is pretty laid back and a real softie- he’s very affectionate and gets on well with everyone... He learns things fast but doesn’t like to get things wrong and he always aims to please.

Although he is from breed lines he has taken his Mums build that is fairly long legs and slim, he is just under 21” to the shoulder and weighs about 16/17kgs.

Special Thanks to Martyn Wight, Heather Noddle, Andrea Russ, Lynn Sheridan & Chel Townsend for the photos they took of Boo that I may have used.
